Santa Cruz Island (B, L)

On day 2 and 3 you will visit any two islands of the below list (one island per day). Depending on your departure and availability the visits of the islands will vary. Each island is unique in itself and has different highlights to offer. This is an amazing chance to reach out to inhabited islands in the archipelago. Each day tour will include lunch onboard, a walking and a snorkeling activity to maximize your experience.

Bartolome:

Bartolome Island has the most spectacular scenery around the archipiélago and stands out for its geological formations. This island is undoubtedly the most photographed of all due to its distinctive pinnacle rock.
Upon arrival you have to climb a wooden staircase to the summit (approximately 40 minutes) to appreciate a spectacular landscape of two beautiful bays and observe the fascinating formations of lava and volcanic cones.
During the snorkeling activity you might be lucky to swim with penguins, marine turtles, whitetipped reef sharks and other tropical fish. Hopefully you get a chance to swim along with playful sea lions.

North Seymour:

North Seymour is one of the most popular and visited islands for daytours as well for boat cruises due to its concentrated variety of wildlife. This is one of the best spots to be able to see up close colonies of the famous blue footed boobies, great and magnificant rigatebird, yellow land iguanas and small colony of sea lions.
After your walk you will return to your boat for lunch and then hop into the water for your snorkeling activity.

Santa Fe:

Santa Fe is known for its large colony of sea lions that lounge around on the two beaches. It is also a breeding site for sea lions since the existing bay in the area serves as protection for the young.
During your walk you will be able to appreciate the biggest opuntia cacti in the archipelago which provide nutrients for the unique Santa Fe land iguana which inhabits this island.
You will be amazed by the pristine colour of the water which allows you to see the bottom where you might swim alongside eagle rays, sting rays, sea turtles and lots of tropical fish. With a bit of luck enjoy to play with the sea lions during your snorkeling activity.

Plazas:

South Plaza is one of the smallest but at the same time one of the richest islands in the archipelago. The origin of this island is from uplifted marine lava which created a narrow and shallow channel between Plazas and Santa Cruz Island. The turquoise waters of the channel contrast brilliantly with the white sand and black lava coast.
The flora and fauna of Plazas will amaze you with land iguanas, sea lions, finches, sally lightfoot crabs, masked and the occasional blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls nest and other tropical birds.
After your walk on shore sail to Punta Carrion. Time for snorkelling in turquoise water to spot variety of fish, rays, sea turtles and perhaps the harmless reef shark. You might have the chance to swim with sea lions here.

Santa Cruz / Isabela Island (B)

This morning you have the option to visit the beautiful Tortuga bay beach, a 45 minutes’ walk of cobblestone path (2.5 km one way) lead you to one of the fine white sandy beaches of the archipelago. A mysterious forest of the tall Opuntia Cactus and volcanic rock surrounds the path, and the view is overwhelming. Throughout your walk you will observe finches, yellow warblers, mockingbirds, and lava lizards. An excellent place also for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing. Marine iguanas, sharks, sea birds and sea turtles can be occasionally spotted here.
In the afternoon you are sailing to Isabela Island (unaccompanied) by public speedboat (2 hours). Speedboat rides can be bumpy therefore prepare yourself with seasickness medication.
Isabela is the largest island of the archipelago, it has more than 58% of the entire land area of the Galapagos, and consist of a chain of six volcanoes quite young and intermittently active. One of them is Wolf.
Upon arrival to Puerto Villamil our representative will meet you at the port and take you to your accommodation.
Enjoy your free evening hours in this remote Island. Isabela’s sunsets are well known for its beauty.

Isabela Island (B,L)

Today you will visit one of Isabela’s most impressive attractions the Sierra Negra and Chico Volcano. Sierra Negra is one of the most active volcanoes of the archipelago and its recent eruption took place in 2005. Sierra Negra has the second largest crater in the world, with a diameter of 7,46 miles. Volcan chico has an overwhelming “lunatic” landscape with fascinating lava formations.
This is a 16 km challenging hike on different terrains depending on the climate it can be hot, humid, muddy and/or rocky at times. For this hike its recommendable to have proper hiking boots, sun protection, and 2 liters of water per person.

After this excursion you have free time to enjoy some activities (not included) such as:

* Snorkeling in “Concha y Perla” Bay
* Surfing
* Biking
* visit Isabela Interpretation center (Giant and babies tortoises from diferent volcanos)
* Flamingos lagoon
* visit the famous “Wall of tears”. This wall is a proof of the genuine human history of the islands. Around 1946, this island was a penal colony. Prisoners were kept busy carrying sharp lava rocks to form this wall. Here you have beautiful view points and sometimes you can see giant tortoises walking around freely

Included activity

Isabela / Santa Cruz Island (B)

On our last day in Isabela we explore the well-known islet called Tintoreras, a path alongside a reef that is home to several white tip sharks -you can easily observe them from land. Before setting over to the islet you do a dinghy ride around the bay of Isabela to spot the famous Galapagos penguin, blue footed boobies, sea turtles and sea lions. The famous attraction in Tintoreras is the shark tunnel, this is where tintoreras (white tip sharks) come in and rest for the day before going out for hunting during the night.
Enjoy a snorkeling activity with high chances to swim with sea turtles, colorful fish and manta rays. In the afternoon we are sailing back to Santa Cruz Island by public speedboat (2 hours, unaccompanied) for a last night out in town or do some last minute shopping before flying out the next day.

Included activity

* Tintoreras excursion
